The CBVA (California Beach Volleyball Association) will host premiere Youth Tour Tournaments during the summer of 2008. Prizes for the 1st and 2nd place finishers in each age division will be presented. Tournament champions will be awarded a berth into the CBVA Youth Tour Championships at "Cal Cup", Labor Day weekend .

USA Volleyball will play have its Beach Tour during the summer 2008. This fourteen (14) event tour provides the young people of America (girls/boys age 10-20) the chance to experience the sport of beach volleyball in an "athlete centered" environment with the focus on fun and skill development. The Tour includes two signature events.  The USA Junior Open Championships and the season ending Tour Championships at Huntington Beach, CA.

Estero Beach is preparing for its 35th year and is held in the last weekend of every June on the beach next to the Estero Beach Hotel in Ensenada, Mexico,
a two hour drive south of San Diego. The tournament is the largest beach volleyball tournament anywhere, typically hosting over 2000 amateur and professional players from around the world. More info at their website.

Spikefest, the world's largest 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 amateur volleyball tournament, is celebrating its 18th birthday this year! The 2008 annual event is being held in Houston Tx July 12-13, Round Rock, TX July 19-20 and in Dallas, TX August 2-3.

Last year's event featured almost 2000 players. 3- on-3 teams consist of four players (3 players plus 1 substitute) and 5-on-5 teams consist of six players (5 players plus 1 substitute) Teams were featured from several states and two foreign countries. Event producers expect this year's event to show even more growth. Additional features include the now famous accuracy serve contest where participants could win $25,000. Also, interested participants will be able to participate in several drawings and contests organized by sponsors of the event.
